Health Care Assistant Foundation Course Level 1

Course Details:

This course will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge of roles and responsibilities required by those involved in working in the care setting. If individuals are looking to enhance career development, this programme aims to provide the opportunity to identify career paths within the care sector and support future learning requirements.

 

Course Includes:

60 hours of theory and 60 hours practical application. There will be an optional 40 hours preparatory course in literacy, numeracy and Information Technology.

Learning Approach:

The course consists of a combination of theory and practical sessions. Your dedicated assessor will support you throughout the duration of the course.


Format:

Initial group induction and workbooks handed out during the course with individual support and guidance from tutor. There will be continuous assessment throughout the course.

Progression:

On successful completion of the programme students will have the underpinning knowledge to progress onto higher-level courses including Health Care Assistant Training Course Level 2.

 

Additional Information:

The government funding for all vocational courses is applicable to the candidate who is being sponsored by an employer. Hereby, the HRDC will refund 60% of total costs of the course to the employer.
